Why is my gherkin format no longer accepted when using my Zephyr BDD plugin?

I have been using the BDD-Gherkin plugin for Zephyr over the last few months. Suddenly it will not allow me to start my line with anything other than Given, When, Then, And & But. 

Before I could start it with a "#", "*" and "|". 

Please let me know what happened because we have a large regression suite already written in this format, but no they are throwing errors and cannot be updated.

I noticed this on 22 Jan 2025, I could swear it was fine yesterday
