Why is commenting on issues disabled for a group of users?

I have some issues that I assign to a given group of users. When the issue transitions the users looses commenting capability.

This occurs despite the project's permissions are enabled for any logged user:

I think your worfklow sets the jira.issue.editable property to false.

Check the worfkow transition properties in your workflow configuration.

You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.

it was the jira.permission.comment property in the workflow status. Thanks for the clue.

Check your project permissions for 'Comment issues'. Appropriate users or groups must be assigned to this permission.
