Hey @Md_ Abrarul Huda ,

In order to manage users' accounts, you need to verify the domain and claim their accounts. Read more here: Verify domains and claim managed accounts

So, you can check what the account's domain is (everything after "'@" symbol in the email) and check if it is under a verified domain and if this account is claimed 👀

Cheers,
Tobi

Welcome @Md_ Abrarul Huda ,

This message means the user’s Atlassian account is not claimed by your organization’s verified domain. Even if the user only accesses your site, their account is still considered externally managed unless the domain is verified and the account is claimed.

What to check:

  • Whether the user’s email domain is verified in Admin → Security → Domains

  • If the domain is verified, make sure the account is actually claimed by your organization

  • If the email domain is not yours (personal Gmail, etc.), you won’t be able to fully manage that account’s profile details

This is expected behavior and not related to project permissions or external access settings.

If this answers your question, feel free to accept the solution so others can benefit too.

Regards

Karim
