Where is the functionality gone? Also pages in Jira Knowledge Base are deleted, what is happening here?

For Jira Cloud, backup download via REST/API can stop working if you don’t have the required **Org Admin permissions**, if export restrictions are enabled, or if there are billing or site issues. It’s also worth checking whether Atlassian has changed or limited that functionality for your site.
Regarding missing Knowledge Base pages, these are stored in Confluence. They may have been deleted, moved, or affected by permission changes. Please check the **Space Trash**, page history, and space permissions first.
If nothing obvious has changed, reviewing the audit logs and contacting Atlassian Support would be the safest next step.

Appreciate your effort, but we already checked with Atlassian support and we were told that its a company decision that this Rest API for Jira no longer works. Confluence still works with the scripts but Jira won't.
It's a shame that Atlassian treats their products and their customer like that and another step of Enshitification that is happening in Atlassian cloud with increasing pace. If Atlassian thinks that Broadcom is a winning strategy they are gonna be left with a shitty product and no customers in the near future. We already evaluate exit strategies.
