Why is Portfolio ignoring all but one team?

Sean August 7, 2017

My setup:

I have a single JIRA project. In Portfolio, I create 3 separate Teams - one for Front End, one for Back End, and one for Design. In each of those teams I added the relevant resources. I gavce each resaource the appropriate availability. There are no shared resources across these 3 teams. All 3 teams have the same Board set as their source.

The Issue:

Portfolio seems to be dumping ALL tickets into the Back End team for most Sprints. This includes our current active Sprint, in which many stories are absolutely assigned to people on the Front End team.

I cannot for the life of me figure out why this is happening and, having spent the last ~2hrs+ tinkering and researching, I'm ready to concede I need some help :P

Hi Sean,

"Skills are abilities that team members must have in order to complete work items. Skills can be defined per stage and allow to categorize different types of work within a stage."

If you have all of the Front end team skills in stage 1 then this is the only team available.

Also where did you set the team because currently the team field is limited in scope?  The issue has been resolved in Portoflio 2.4 and that should resolve the scope issue.  If you're not on 2.4 please try that version and see if you get different results.

Cheers,

Branden
