Why is Jira sometimes not saving comments or issues the first time?

Frequently when adding new issues Jira is not saving , reporting a communication error, but shortly afterwards it does save?  This is not my internet connection though...

Hi Francois,

Are there new custom fields on the projects?  I find that there is latency whenever I've added a new custom field and the first time through it gives me a communication error, but then it processes.  

If it's not that, perhaps there is a problem with your index?  Did you check your system health?
