Why does my epic not appear in the epic panel but is open?

Hi! I'm having problems with a few of my epics showing up in the epic panel. The board filter is not the problem, epic status is open or in progress, other issues can be linked to the epic and you can navigate to it. When I click "view on board" I get an error message: "The issue could not be located on any part of board". 

I can't figure out what is happening.

Are the issues below the Epic on the board? 

I know you've said these are not the issue - but the basics are always worth double-checking:

• Confirm the filter has no limitations to it - it's not refining out Epics from other projects, etc
• Confirm Epic Status isn't in "Done" - if Epic Status isn't a field on your Epic, check it via the issue search page

 ^ It's good to know if it isn't these to try and replicate the issue. If you can give me more specifics about how the filter is built or how the board is configured, we can try to find a solution :)
