I have GitHub hooked up to Jira through DVCS accounts, and it correctly lists all of my GitHub repos including my private repos from the DVCS setup screen.
I've been working with public GitHub repos in Jira without any issue, and I can use the "Create Branch" link in a Jira ticket to create a branch in the repo that I want.
Now I'm working with my first private repo from GitHub, and it's not showing up in the list when I use the Create Branch link from the Jira ticket. Again, it does show the private repos from the DVCS setup screen list, but it doesn't show in the list when creating a new branch from a ticket.
I was able to add the repo to the Project using "Add item" just like I've done with other projects and that works fine. I can see the repo there, and when I click it I'm sent to the repo on GitHub as expected. It's just not showing this repo in the list when I try to create a branch from a ticket.
Any information about how to get this working would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Hey, Andrew
The Create Branch shortcut doesn't work for GitHub, only for BitBucket.
The create branch shortcut is only available for repositories that are linked through BitBucket connection inside the issue view.
For repositories that are linked through the GitHub, the brach will only work if it is triggered directly from the GitHub.
Please double check from your side and let me know if you see any scenario different than that.
Gabi
Hmmm, that's odd. I could have sworn I saw it working before, but I'm trying again now in various projects and it's not working anywhere. Thanks for the info.
