Why can I only select the current sprint in the Jira Burndown Gadget?

I am working on a Jira Dashboard and specifically am looking to use the sprint burndown gadget but in configure it only has the "Next Sprint due (Auto)" or the name of my current sprint.... which are the same sprint. We have been tracking issues in Jira for many sprints now, so I am not sure why I cannot select one of those for the Gadget. In the Sprint Report from the reporting on the actual project I have a screenshot showing all of the sprints that should be an option form the gadget.

Please let me know if anyone else has encountered this problem or have a solution/work around.

Hi @Jennifer Kilps and welcome to the Community,

This is just related to the goal of the gadget. The sprint report on your scrum board aims to provide insight into your past performance. It is - literally - a reporting tool.

The main goal of dashboards usually is to give you real time information about what is happening right now. That is why the focus of many gadgets (like the one you mention) is on current sprints (or other activity).

That does not mean it is not possible/feasible to build reporting dashboards with a focus on the past, but that often means you'll have to rely on other gadgets, connections to reporting tools or marketplace apps.

Hope this helps!
