Why aren't issues appearing in my Sprint?

I have gone through the process of creating a sprint, dragging issues into the sprint from the backlog, and then clicking start sprint.

Despite having around 20 or so issues dragged into the new sprint, when I click to start sprint, the modal say 0 issues in sprint.

I tried creating the sprint anyway - the new sprint was empty and all tasks had been returned to the backlog.

Has anyone else had this issue? If so did you manage to find a solution?

Edit: I have also tried dragging tasks from backlog into the new empty sprint. I am asked to confirm that I want to edit the sprint, and afterwards I try navigating to the sprint board and it is still empty. All tasks again returned to the backlog.

Hello Richard,

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

Can you please confirm to us if you are using a next-gen project or a Classic project template?

If possible, provide us with a fast video reproducing the problem.

If you are using a next-gen project, it's possible that you are being impacted by the following bug:

Unable to add issues to sprint on Next-gen projects

Please, try the workaround mentioned in the bug and check if it working for you.

We will be waiting for your answer.
