Issues that were completed before the Control Chart window are appearing in the chart if they have been mentioned in other issues that are inside the window.
For example, we have a cleanup ticket that references 3 tickets that were completed last year. In our most recent Control Chart, the referenced tickets are showing up and creating skewed data.
Wondering if anyone else has run into this or knows how to solve it?
Hi @Sean Elliot -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
I have not observed that symptom before and I didn't see that as a defect in the public backlog for Jira Cloud. Have you checked the issue history for those items to confirm that they were not in status values covered during the timeframe/filter criteria for the report?
And, what is the board filter for the scope where this report is running? For example, is it one or multiple projects?
Kind regards,
Bill
Hey Bill,
Thanks for the quick reply -- your instincts were correct -- seems like an automated task moved these issues into one of the filtered statuses (and then back to the correct status, which is why I missed this).
Checking the issue histories is where I was able to confirm this. Now I just need to figure out why they got moved =)
Thanks!

Whew; that is good learn it wasn't a chart side-effect!
Perhaps check your automation rule to see if a condition is missing/needs improving to prevent this...or how to deal with it on the chart (e.g. quick filter to exclude some issues).
