Who can create Jira Software Forms?

Hi there,

I'm encountering an issue and would appreciate your help with a Jira  Software Cloud

I'm an Org Admin and I can create forms without any problems. However, some Project Administrators are unable to do so, even though:

• The Forms feature is enabled for their projects

• The projects are Company-managed

• They have the Project Administrator role

I’ve reviewed the settings but can’t find any additional permissions or toggles related to Forms that might explain the issue.

Could you please help me understand what might be causing this?

According to the documentation, as you say, being a project admin should allow for you to create and use forms https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/create-a-form/ 

You said some project admins can and others can't access the forms section. This is in the same project, two people with the same access, one manages and one doesn't? 

Have you tried impersonating the person who can't access forms to see what they see?

The only thing I'm thinking is to open a bug to the support if you've verified someone with the correct access doesn't see them.

@Valerie Knapp i'm an ORG admin and i can create forms!

Project Admins do not have this option; they can see the forms option, but when they access it, there is no "Create form" option for them.

Also, in some projects, me as ORG Admin, i have the option to choose from some forms templates, and other projetcs forms dosent have any template, is a simply blunt "Create form" option.

We're running Jira Software Enterprise.

Hi @Albert Manuel , thanks for clarifying. I understood that you said some project admins could manage the forms and others could not. I would open a support request about this as we can't see in your instance what is going on or what could be blocking this.

I understand that forms has been enabled using Go to project settings >> Features and make sure "Forms" has been enabled. but admins cannot create forms 

Only users with project admin permissions can create, edit, or delete forms.

Could you please confirm if these users have create/ edit issue permission as well ?

The team would have to replicate this use case and see what is the issue here
