While moving a ricket from one project to another can I move the comments as well?

When I am moving a JIRA ticket from one project to another, I would want the comments also to be moved along with the links attached to the ticket. However, the links are getting moved but the comments are not getting moved. Can anyone please help?

With Jira Cloud, when using the built-in feature to move an issue from one project to another the comments are moved correctly.

How are you performing the "move" and what are you observing?
