Which authentication method for Jira REST API can be used both for Server and Cloud setup??

I am working on a nugget to integrate with Jira for both Cloud and Server Setup, i am currently using API key based authentication for cloud setup, however i want my nugget to be able to work on both the setups. Which authentication method would work both setups ??

Let me come straight to point, you have two options,

• Basic Auth
  • In server it 'username:passowrd' - https://developer.atlassian.com/server/jira/platform/basic-authentication/
  • In cloud 'email:api_key' - https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/jira/platform/basic-auth-for-rest-apis/
• oAuth
  • For server - https://developer.atlassian.com/server/jira/platform/oauth/
  • For cloud  - https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/jira/platform/jira-rest-api-oauth-authentication/
