Where is the User Picker & Group Searcher Template?

Hello, I am creating a custom field in Jira and I am only seeing the multi select searcher template. The field is a select list. The custom fields that I created in the past allow the user to select from a custom group. How do I enable group or project role filtering with this new field? Thank you for your assistance.

Hello @J Roberts 

Only applicable search templates will be available. If you have created a generic Selection List field, the User Picker & Group Searcher template is not applicable to that field type. That search template is applicable only to User Picker and Group Picker field types.
