Where do statuses come from in a Board that resides in your personal profile?

Hi, I created a Kanban board, and I set its filter to display the issues from 2 software maintenance projects.

For the location of the board, I set it to my personal profile, because I didn't want it to be somehow limited to one of the two software projects in the filter.

When I went to set up the columns for the board, the column config view included statuses (to be distributed among the columns) that are associated to a third (unrelated service management) project.

Since there is no underlying project, I'm not sure how to fix the workflow to get the correct statuses on the board.

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Jim

Hi @Jim Baker,

The statuses are coming from the workflows used across the issuetypes in your 2 maintenance projects. The board location is just a home for your board, but it does not impact where your statuses are coming from in any way.

How you constructed your filter may have a significant impact.

Hope this helps!

Thanks! I'll look into the filter construction.

This doesn't really answer the question, but I found a workaround, I can just let the board reside in one of the two projects, and it takes on the statuses of that project.  Good enough.
