Where can I find a list of the Jira Fields Type and what they look like and do?

Really would like to see a full list of what field I have available to me and what they do.

Hello,

Go to Issues -> Custom Fields and add a custom field. Choose the All tab and you will see all available custom field types:

Is there a way to see that full list before my company gets our instance set up yet or do I just have to wait?

I have never seen the full list in docs. Also it depends if you are on Cloud or Server,
