I cleared the browser cache, restarted the browser, used two different browsers (Chrome and Opera), tried the incognito mode, and made sure there is no trailing slash - I am still getting the same response from the system when trying to log in - malformed request. Can you please help me with some additional suggestions? Thank you very much

Sorry to hear about this problem logging in. I know you stated that you cleared the cache, changed browsers, and restarted the browser, however we have specifically seen this kind of error on browsers that have a corrupted cookie and/or have their privacy settings set too high as well.
There are some more details on these causes in the KB 'Oops, you've made a malformed request' .... I would be interested to see if you can delete the cookie for id.atlassian.com from your browser and then see if you can login directly to https://id.atlassian.com If you can then you should then be able to navigate directly to your Cloud site, if you are not redirected automatically.
If that doesn't help, I'd like to learn more about your browser. What version of Chrome are you running? Technically Atlassian Cloud does not officially support the Opera browser at this time per Supported browsers. However this login should work just find with Chrome or Firefox here.
