When searching for a filter we get today no results or when searching of filter via owner

Deleted user September 5, 2019

We are using 8.0.2 Jira Software. Today we get complaints because when searching for filters no results are shown or searching for saved filters via owner field.

Can be the cache damaged?

Is it possible to only reindex filter and dashboards?

Hello,

Were your filters available before for them? If not, are you sure they are shared for the people who are trying to access it ?

I don't think you can re-index only filters or/and dashboard. If you don't have such a big instance, you can do a normal re-index.

Hello @[deleted]

I believe it's most likely that there's something wrong with your filter than something wrong with the cache.
We need a little more details to answer your question.

What do you intend to do? What is your filter? What is supposed to appear in the filter?

Best Regards.

When you are in the manage filters mask and search for example for filters of an owner:

in our prod Jira no results coming up

on our test system many filter for the same user are listed see pictures below and test and prod system have nearly the same dataset so I could understand if some filter are missing because of changed shares but not all.

@[deleted] Are both databases correlated? If both servers are not connected, you will not have the same filters/projects/issues on both.
How did you migrate the data from the test Jira to the prod one?

@Miguel Silveira  The test database is a backup from the prod system and the backup is one day old, so the test system has nearly the same data as the prod system.  The user has more than 50 filters and he didn't changed these filters since a long time.

@[deleted] I searched for this issue, and actually, i think Jira doesn't migrate filters or reports (even if it's a backup), but only the database itself. In fact there are lots of people with the same issue...

I bumped into this thread:

How can I migrate Dashboards and filters from one JIRA instance to another?

I hope it helps
If not, i'm really sorry but you will have to wait a little longer for someone with a easier solution :/

Best Regards
