Peer is experiencing issue when creating or editing a sprint goal, it is effecting another sprint's goal - almost as if they are coupled together -

he reports -

""one sprint goal is created, it appears in the other sprint. Vice versa, remove it, edit it. The two are coupled for some reason""

Not seeing this issue in other projects - sprints are manually created and edited (no jira automation running for sprint creation)

Hello @Jessica Maxwell

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

Are these two "coupled" sprints displayed in the same board or different boards?

If they are displayed in different boards then they may actually be the same sprint, rather than two different sprints.

A sprint can display in multiple boards. Sprints display in boards if any of the following are true:

1. The sprint was created in the board.

2. The sprint contains an issue that is within the scope of the board.

Jira does not limit issues added to a sprint to be only the issues from the board where the sprint was created. An issue can be edited directly and any sprint added to the issue's Sprint field.
