I have a jira board that I track my team's activities and projects with. Sometimes a project or task is canceled or postponed for 6+ months. I want to have a 2nd "done" category titled "icebox" or "canceled" or "won't do" to collect these issue tickets. I want to be able to clear them off the board, but be able to find or search against these tickets for later use or data analysis.
When you edit the workflows, there is a placeholder icon for dragging more "done status" categories onto your workflow, but it is greyed out. Is this just features that have yet to be rolled out by JIRA or is this a setting you have to change in your project?

On next-gen projects, currently, it's possible to have only one Done status.
Recently, it was added the ability to manage workflows, and with that, the ability to add more To Do status.
There is a feature suggesting the implementation of such ability:
