When does API token revocation take effect ?

After revoking my token the app I was testing was able to use the token for a further at-least 2-3 minutes

Why doesn't JIRA check API validity on every request ?

Thank you for getting in touch with our Community!
I've checked this information with the team responsible for that and the token is deleted immediately, but this token should stop being accepted after 10 minutes.
