When creating a task, both Add epic link and task/item number have disappeared

I am working in a Next-gen project.

When I logged in a couple of days ago and created a new task, I noticed the following:

  • the Add epic link had disappeared
  • the task/item/bug number had disappeared (so I am no longer able to see which task I have open)

Both these options were working fine before this. No other changes have happened at our end that I am aware of.

Can you please let me know how I can fix these issues? Thanks

Hi KC,

Sorry to hear about this problem.  I see that you are not seeing the issuekey or the add epic when looking at issues in a next-gen project.

I have not been able to recreate this problem.  This appears to be working ok for me.  That said, I did come across a statuspage update that indicates that our Jira Software Cloud had an incident on the day you created this question where we tracked some login problems, see https://jira-software.status.atlassian.com/incidents/bc5rrqy0lmyf

That might be able to account for the behavior on that day, but this has been resolved.  I'm interested to see if perhaps this is working correctly for your now or not.  If not, could you post here a screenshot of where you are looking.  I expect to see these in either the board itself as well as the issue details (JiraCloudURL/browse/IssueKey-123 for example).

Apologies for the late reply.

Thanks for your help with this - it seems to have resolved itself for now. There was a period when these details weren't displaying and now they are. Not sure what changed, but happy that it did!
