When an epic is marked as "done", can users still log time against it?

We want to try and stop users logging time against epics which are complete - if we mark an epic as "done" does this mean time can no longer be logged against it?

Are you logging time on the Epic or the underlying issues? 
try adding the following Property to the Done status

jira.permission.work.denied=denied

here is an article that should assist - how-to-restrict-log-work-on-a-specific-status . This specific one is for server but basically the same for cloud I believe.

You can always log time against any issue regardless of its status.
