When I try to connect jira, I have an error not in the above troubleshooting list

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Configuring JIRA integration in the Setup Wizard

I have the following error:

Could not retrieve manifest from http://myjira.atlassian.net. Please check the JIRA Server URL, and ensure it is JIRA 4.3 or later.

I could not find a clear answer/fix for the error
