Hi,

I am new in Jira and i am taking it over from the previous IT in my company.

I have a trend micro Anti Virus and would like to install it to my server holding Jira. In terms of Firewalling, I am not sure what are the Network ports that i need to consider to allow the traffic to go in and out of Jira before i install it. And also what are the files that i need to exclude for scanning to prevent the performance slowness.

Thanks,

Rj

It depends on what port you have Jira listening on.  A default install uses 8080, and a lot of us will use an SSL proxy to forward 443 to there, so you'd need to open 8080 on the Jira server to let the proxy reach it.  If you' have relocated it, then you'll need to open the port you have chosen for it.

Virus scans should exclude the installation directory and the "home" directory (although there are some places under home where it's fine - "attachments" is one you might want to add back)
