What is this new view when using the Create lozenge?

What is this new view when using the Create lozenge?

When did this happen and why? Now I am getting asked why the tool is broken. Who thought is was a good idea to change Summary to Title for instance?

I can't recall that I have seen it in the app updates, so no idea.

Atlassian seems to be running a bit too fast lately, and things feel less organised in some areas...

Actually @__ Jimi Wikman you can go Back to Full view as Default

Thanks for the quick replies.
I did figure out that the cropped Create screen is now the default if you don't specify a separate Create View screen.
It still doesn't explain why the Summary field has become Title. The issue configure screen is still Summary. 🙄 Issue Configure Screenshot 2026-07-23 112809.png

A Jira administrator can also revert the entire site:

Settings → System → General configuration → Simple Create as Default → Off

Ekhem your Summary field looks "Pervert" can you check Configuration Screen/Workflow?

I now see why I did not recognise this app update :)

It is one of the "Coming Soon" app updates from back in April. This did not show up properly in App updates and is located at the end of the 1500+ app uppates.

I'll add it now since I have a feeling more people will see this soon...

@Arkadiusz Wroblewski it has been so long since I had to even look at the System settings. Thanks for the tip. Now it's back to what we have used forever. Including the Summary field. 😜

Apparently they are reverting Title back to Summary (I agree Title is a terrible idea).
