What is the fastest way to assocaite custom fields with only the projects that use them?

Hello Everyone,

I was wondering if there is a faster way to configure custom fields to only the projects using them. As of right now my process is:

1.  View the custom fields screens

2. See what each projects are using that screen

3. Configure the custom field to apply to issue only in those projects

Hi @Christopher Rios ,

Here is how I do it:

• Jira Settings
  • Issues
    • Field Configuration
      • Find your custom field and click "Screens" on the right site
      • Check the boxes for the screens you want to add the field to.

Note that this works if you have specific screens tied to screen schemes for specific projects. And...make sure your project is using the field configuration scheme with the custom field included.
