I am planning to use Jira cloud to access a BitBucket server in AWS. I understand it is possible use AWS service catalog connector to establish a connection between Jira cloud and AWS. However, can I configure Jira to connect to BitBucket via this connector and have full functionality?
For security reasons, I can't use Atlassian BitBucket cloud.
Hi Patrick,
I understand that you want to connect your Jira Cloud to your Bitbucket Server instance and are looking for ways to do this.
I believe you are referring to the AWS plugin AWS Service Catalog Connector for JSD. This is a free plugin, but it is only available for installation to Jira Server and Jira Data Center platforms of Jira Service Desk. It is not available currently for Jira Cloud platforms, hence you won't be able to use this plugin while using Jira Cloud.
I'm curious if perhaps you just want to be able to link these two applications. If so, then certainly our documentation in Bitbucket: Connect Bitbucket Server to JIRA Software Cloud might help to explain that this is possible. But that said I can't help but wonder if perhaps I'm missing the point of why you mentioned that plugin and are seeking out the features of that plugin specifically for Jira Cloud integrations. If that is the case, then perhaps it would be best to reach out directly to the plugin vendor support link. Perhaps they might know of some other work-around here that could be helpful.
I hope this helps.
Andy
