What if you don't renew Jira maintenance license for 2 years and then renew it for the 3rd year is it possible that we renew the license every 2 years.

To receive a formal answer pleas reach out to pricing support team.

As I understand it, you would either pay the lapsed mtce period or purchase a new license, whichever is cheaper. So for the sake of simple math....

let’s say a new license = $100 and annual mtce = $50 per year

You are covered months 1-12. If you don’t renew at that time you become out of mtce (no support and no upgrades). Then if you want to renew at month 18 you pay $50 and it covers you to month 24. A better deal than paying the full $100 for new license. However, let’s say you want to re-up at month 24 (your example) then you are at the crossover point so the price to pay for lapsed maintenance vs buying a new license is the same $100. Once you go beyond the 24 month period (in my example) then you are best served buying a new license and with the new license you will receive 12 months of support.
