What does it mean "reporter" field in Kanban board ?

In the "people" section on the right side of the Epic / Story there is the "Reporter" field.

What does exactly mean this field ?

Hi @carla_stroppa 

Usually it is the person who raised the issue, it is same as creator by default unless you choose to raise ticket on behalf of someone.

Thank you @Ravi Sagar _Sparxsys_  I thought the same unless I noticed the creator can be different.

Based on your input I understand someone can create an issue on behalf of someone else. So the "reporter" field is who want to open the issue but the creator is who manually create the issue fill in the data

Is my understanding correct ?

Correct - creator is the person with their paws on the keyboard, typing the issue into Jira.  Reporter is the person who wanted the issue raised.  They're often, but not always, the same person.
