What does Completed mean in the Velocity chart when using time spent instead of story points?

Note, I want to understand what Completed means when I'm NOT using story points, and having my engineers book time spent on each ticket.

Does the Completed mean

1) The time spent only all tasks that are marked as complete in the sprint

2) The original estimate of all tasks that are marked as complete in the sprint (so time booked to it is not counted here)

3) All time spent in the sprint, regardless if the tasks were completed or not

4) Time spent on tasks that are marked as complete in the sprint, AND were originally committed for the sprint (so, excludes any newly added tasks to the sprint)

Hello @Elaine Ma ,

The way the Velocity Chart works doesn't vary much depending on your estimation method;

To my knowledge, in your case "Completed" corresponds to the sum of the "Original Estimates" of your Jira issues which are in a completed status. This includes all the scope changes made during the Sprint, which means that any task which was added during the Sprint and completed will be counted in this total.

Let me know if it helps,

Guilhem
