What are the settings needed to burndown the chart?

Hello,

I am new to JIRA.

I notice that the burn chart will burn down only when the status of the ticket is DONE. We set our status Ready for Release and DONE to SET RESOLUTION, however, every time the ticket is in Ready for Release the burn chart does not burn down. It only burns down if the ticket is in DONE status. Is there a way that we can set the burndown trigger in a ticket that is in READY FOR RELEASE status?

Note that we don't do releases per sprint. Can you please help me?

Thanks a lot

A board only recognises the last column as "done".

Issues will burn down when you move them into the last column on the board.  (Done means "needs no more attention from the team using this board", so it's fine to have anything they don't need to work on anymore in there.  If an issue still requires action from the team, then by definition, it is not done)

To fix it in your case, map your "ready for release" status into the "done" column, and you should find it all works fine.
