I participated in an official JIRA webinar on your portal, last week, and the demo that you guys are currently showing is completely different than what we see in our trial version (premium features).

For example, the page top bar is missing, the project backlog section cannot be found, I don't understand where is the planning section where the lady keeps navigating and so on.

What is the point demoing something that is not correct?

Hi @Marco E 👋

Thanks for pointing this out — your observation makes total sense, and you’re not the only one who’s noticed this difference.

Let me clarify a few things:

1️⃣ Webinars sometimes use a pre-release or sandbox environment
Atlassian often demonstrates new features or UI layouts from internal or beta environments during webinars. These might include design updates or navigation changes that haven’t yet rolled out to all instances — including free trials or production sites. That’s why the interface you saw in the webinar could look slightly different from your current Jira trial.

2️⃣ The top bar and navigation changes are part of the ongoing UI rollout
Jira Cloud is gradually moving to a unified navigation experience (with the new left sidebar, project navigation, and simplified header). Depending on your site’s rollout group, you may still see the older layout until the update reaches your instance.

3️⃣ How to verify which version you’re on
You can check whether your site has the new experience under:
⚙️ → Personal settings → Labs / Navigation updates
If you don’t see it yet, it means your site hasn’t been included in the full rollout phase — but it will be updated automatically soon.

In short: The webinar UI isn’t incorrect — it’s simply ahead of your current deployment schedule. Atlassian tries to show what’s coming soon to help admins and users prepare.

Hope this clears things up 🙂
