Hi,
We have a requirement that we need to export all issues(around 9000 issues) from a project along with all attachments and import these issues to another Jira instance with all attachments/images etc. Can someone suggest good plug-ins & other methods which can be used in this scenario?
Hi Swathi,
This can be achieved by below methods using Configuration Manager plug-in on your JIRA instance.
* Export your Project Config with issues without attachments from your JIRA instance.
* Copy the project attachments from the backend for example, if your JIRA project data is stored in /var/jira/data/attachments/<Project 1> then you need to copy your project specific data to destination server in the same path where attachments are stored.
* Copy folder specific to your project name(Project 1) only to destination server.
* Now, use the Configuration Manager on destination JIRA instance and import the project and you should have all 9000 issues with attachments on your new instance.
* Please ensure the right permission on the folders before importing the project on destination server.
All the best.. :)
Hope above step helps. Please check and let me know the result.
BR,
Prashant.
Hi Prasanth,
Thanks a lot for your response. We have Project Configurator plugin in our Jira instance and we hope we can use it in place of the Configuration Manager.
Also, could you please tell us if we have a possibility to filter out only some issues and export them instead of the entire project with all issues? We have 1.5 lac issues in the project whereas we need to export only 9000.
