We don't want customers to be able to sign into the JIRA Service Desk Dashboard.

We want customer to be able to sign up -- even if they do not yet have an account.  But we do not want them to be able to login to the Dashboard.

We only want them to login to the customer portal.

How do we do this?

You have to check Application Access.

From what I understand you're using both Service Desk and JIRA Software.

You only need to define JIRA Software Application Access to users (user groups) who really need it and remove everybody else.

Then you can set the customer portal as open and configure sign up as public.

Looks like you just need to configure your Application roles properly.

"Customers" are able to create requests and use Customer Portal, but cannot access JIRA default view (dashdoards, filters, etc.).
