Version assignments are forgotten

I'm trying to organise our backlog using versions, so that we can see what stories need to be completed for a particular release.

I've created 3 versions (Alpha, Beta and Final), and from the backlog I can drag'n'drop the stories into the version, and the stories get badges saying which version they've been put in. I also get an acknowledgement at the top of the screen that the process was successful.

However, if I reload the page everything is forgotten. No badges, and if I go to the version details page all counters read zero.

Am I misunderstanding something?

I understand that you are dragging and dropping your issues to the versions in the left panel, and although they get properly labeled with the correct version, the label just disappears after refreshing the page. Is that correct?

Please, follow the steps below to properly troubleshoot the issue:

1. Check if this is a cache problem by trying to reproduce the same problem in a different browser using incognito mode
2. Check if you have permission to properly edit and resolve issues under project settings > Permissions. 
3. Check if you are able to edit the version field by navigating to the issue directly and editing the "Fix version" field.
4. If you are not able to find the field in step 3, navigate to project settings > Screens and confirm if the field "Fix Version" is properly added to your edit screen in the issue type you are facing the problem. Also, navigate to project settings > Issue layout and check if the "Fix version" is not hidden in your issue view

P.S: Ask your project administrator to check the steps above if you are not a project admin.
