Using license after replacing server.. How?

My server is slow and due to that I bought another machine and installed JIRA with a trial license, because I needed it fast and the old Jira was just started. 

Now I want to use my 10-user license on the new machine and decommision it from the old machine, without rewriting the database of the new machine since there I have relevant work done already. How can I do this?

You just have to apply your license to the new instance.  Steps on how to do this are in Licensing your Jira applications. 

Technically you should not activate the same license key on two installs at the same time.  So if you are planning to decommission the other install, you should be fine.   You can find your current license key in your https://my.atlassian.com account provided that you are either the billing or technical contact on the account.
