Hi,

I would like to remove from my Advanced Roadmap plan, all the issues with status DONE. How can I do it?

The only options I found are:
1) Do it manually by selecting all the issues I want to remove and then click on "Bulk actions" --> Remove from plan
2) Use the filtering feature and filter the status DONE (this option is not working for me because I can still see those issues in the plan and the only difference is that they are grayed)

How can I automate the 1st option I mentioned?

Thanks in advance!

Hi @Oriyet Tibi -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

I am curious: what problem are you trying to solve by doing this?

When creating a plan, people often want to see relative progress: what work is not started, in progress, and completed.  Removing the completed items would seem to reduce the value of even creating a plan.  Filtering instead seems to make sense to help with plan management.

Thanks and best regards,
Bill

Hi Bill!
I feel like the best solution was to have two views-
1) Include issues with status DONE
2) Filter issues with status DONE (But really filter them, not just change their color)

The first view would help me to see the high-level plan (quick glance) - how much effort was given, what are we working on now and what we expected to work on the next few days.

The second view help me to focus on issues that are uncompleted.
I find that it's difficult to focus on the current/next steps when there are lots of issues that are completed.
It is hard to understand what was done and what wasn't.

Thanks,
Oriyet

Disclaimer - I do not personally use advance roadmaps. However I have some knowledge of the capability and found an article that may be of interest - troubleshoot-missing-issues-in-your-plan . This is coming at your goal from a different angle but it may work for you. The salient bit from that article is shown below. My fault here would be to set up your exclusion rules search that any done status issues are excluded from the plan. I'm sure if this would meet your expectations or not but thought I would share,

Issue was manually excluded or removed from the plan

Depending on how your plan was first set up, specific issues may have been manually excluded based on type or status. When issues are excluded based on these criteria, they won’t be displayed in the plan regardless of their source or release.

To re-include an issue in your plan:

  1. From the Roadmap view, navigate to settings using the  next to your plan name > Configure.

  2. Select Exclusion rules, then adjust the Exclude issue types or Exclude statuses filters
