I have several users who cannot see open/close/resolved on subtasks, though the can see them for the parent task. I've added them to the same groups as others who do not have this problem. I've compared the project permission scheme with another one that does not have issues, but cannot pinpoint the issue. Any ideas?
What does the workflow for the subtasks say? I suspect there are conditions on it.
Thanks - I replied to the "donotreply" email like a dummy, and didn't notice for a couple days :-( I am new to Jira and am trying to learn as I go. I will try to find the conditions on the subtask. I admit I find Jira incredibly confusing when it comes to permissions.

Do you mean that some users can not see the status field?

Sorry I replied to this in a way that I didn't realize wouldn't work! Here is what I tried to post:

These buttons are configured in the workflow, which is used for the Sub-task issue type. If you open the workflow you will see transactions with names "Open", "Close Issue" and "Resolved". Click on one of them and you will see the Conditions tab. Have a look there. There must be a condition, which hides the buttons. You can read more about managing workflows here:

Thank you so much for this! Heading to the docs and workflows now :-)
