Users cannot access boards

Osama Al-Areky February 6, 2024

Hello,

Jira doesn't allow one of our users to access board and other project sections. Only this user. I dunno the reason cause we use the free version and we have only 10 users and only this person who has this issue.

What is the problem and how to solve it please?

I would suggest if you are the admin, look at all the users currently configured for that board.
Remove this 10th user and try to add him/her back to the board configuration.
Do let me know if you find any difference in outcome.

But If I remove, their tasks will be assigned to who?

Possibly note the issue nos. or add a label for the interim. Once the user has been added back, you may assign it back based on the label.

@Osama Al-Areky Rephrasing my earlier response:

As mentioned, this user (Y) has tasks assigned to them.

If the number is not too high (< 10 or so), you may just note them and assign to any other user (Z). Then, proceed to delete the user (Y).
In case that the number of tasks is high, you may use labels to demarcate the tasks assigned to user (Y) and assign those to any other user (Z).

Proceed to delete the user (Y) and re-create this user (Y*) and then assign those labelled tasks to that newly created user (Y*).

Does that make any sense?
