Users can't log in to Jira cloud account

I set up a Jira account, but it defaulted to my own name, so I migrated the project (including users and issues) over to a new domain. Now my users can't log in. I have seen message like 'Something went wrong, failed to send invite' when attempting to reinvite them.

The latest message when a user tried to login was "It looks like our database is taking a little longer to sync up. Wait a few moments and try again." - the user says "half the time the link wont load and the other half I get the attached message".

There are only 3 users including myself - at most there would now be 6 users if the previous project is included - so i haven't hit the limit of 10 for the free service yet.

Any idea what I can do to get this to work?
