I have removed all filters from the board.  I have also gone to the group by option and selected different options.  Nothing seems to change the view.  I have both missing Epics as well as missing Stories.  When I click the Epic drop down, some epics dont even appear there.  If I go to the timeline, the epics and stories are there and have the associated status that should make them appear in the swimlanes.  Some of them are still in the To Do status and still don't appear.  I tried adding dates to see if that affected it, but no luck there either.

Hello @Carrie Anders

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

Since you said you have the "Group by" option available, that leads me to understand you are working with a Team Managed project board.

Is it a Scrum board showing sprints, or a Kanban board?

If you are using a Kanban board, do you have the Backlog enabled?

Can you go to the board configuration Columns and Statuses page and confirm that there are no statuses in the "Unassigned statuses" area?

If the status of an issue is in the Unassigned Statuses area, then the issue will not display on the board nor in the backlog.

The Epic filter on the board will list only the Epics for which there are child issues displayed on the board. If you have Epic 1 with child issue Story 1, but Story 1 is not on the board, then Epic 1 will not be in the Epic filter list.

With regard to the missing stories, what is the status of the stories? Are they assigned a green/done status? If so, on a Team Managed project Kanban board, green/done issues will be automatically hidden when they have been in that status for 14 days or longer.

Additionally, if you are using a Kanban board with the Backlog enabled, an issue my display in the board view or in the "Backlog" list in the backlog view. An issue has to be moved intentionally from the "Backlog" list in the backlog view to the "Board" list in the backlog view to make it visible in the board view.

If those details don't explain what you are experiencing, please provide screen images that show your board view, your backlog view (if that is enabled), and details about issues you expect to find on the board but are not.

Hi @Carrie Anders

Can you please share the board and the configuration of the board and where do you expect what?

This will greatly help members of the community

Also are you in a team managed or company managed project?
