User cannot remove from jira-admin group

Hi All,

I am a jira-admin and I 'd like to remove a user from the jira-admin group (the user left the company). When select the Edit memebers menu in the group administration, I select the userID -> Leave and then we drop back to the View members list and the user is still there!!

As an admin I'm doing the user management (cca. 30 user creation/remove, etc.) a day but never seen this problem.

Can you please suggest a solution, because it's a classified problem!

Are you using external user management? If so, you probably need to check there. If not, then start with the Jira application logs - there should be an error in there.
