Use validator in a workflow only if certain conditions are met

I want to create a workflow for service tickets

Open -> Considering -> Refining -> Will be worked -> In Progress -> Coming Soon -> Shipped

where --

- the reporter has to update Description in order for the ticket to move from Considering to the status Refining

BUT if the ticket is urgent

- it can be moved from Open -> In Progress and bypass the other statuses.

Is this possible?

Yes this is possible to do it with out of the box functionalities.

• You have to place two condition
  • One condition to the transition leading from Open to In Progress
    • Choose the "Value Field" condition and place Status = In progress
  • One condition to the transition leading from Open to Considering
    • Choose the "Value Field" condition and place Status = Considering
