Hi Community,

Is anyone using any connector to connect his user or entire jira software instance to ChatGPT and Copilot?

Any recommendations?

Thanks,

Nikola Vojtek

Hi, @Nikola Vojtek

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

The key question is: what are you trying to achieve?

AI is powerful, and Atlassian tools are highly effective — but integrating them just for the sake of connection doesn’t make sense. Integrations should serve a clear purpose.

You can connect services to:

  • Sync task statuses
  • Automatically create issues or documents
  • Streamline repetitive tasks
  • Enhance decision-making with smart suggestions

But first, ask yourself: What’s the goal?
Defining your purpose will guide you further.

Thank you for the quick replay.

The goal would be definitely to bring LLM power from openai to jira, so that we can have enhanced decision-making in our jira apps.

Then, you'll have a great experience.
In my work - I connected to Atlassian, using MCP connector, and use it for receiving information from confluence, summarizing it, and using it in my tasks. But I make it from Openai WEB UI, and in Codex.
