Upgrading ' TFS4JIRA Azure DevOps integration '

Hi,

We have "TFS4JIRA Azure DevOps integration" add-on in Jira whose license expires in June 2022. Current version of the plugin that we are using is 7.10.18. We want to upgrade it to 7.10.30 and there is no update option available in Manage App section. Now all we have to do is download the jar file of version 7.10.30 and upload in Manage app section.

My question is how it affects on license and existing synchronization profiles ?

Do I need to get new license for new version ?

Does it changes anything in project or existing synchronization profiles ?

Hi Sushmitha,

If you have a valid license, you should be able to upgrade to the newest version, without any extra cost, all the while retaining your data. 

To reiterate

• New license is not needed, you can continue using existing one
• Synchronization profiles are not affected

Please be aware that during the update synchronization will be paused.

To update to a new version

• Update plugin in Manage App section (alternatively Uninstall and Install)
• Install a new version of the Synchronizer https://spartez.com/products/tfs4jira
