Upgrading Jira software 7.8 to 8.4

First time doing a jira software upgrade from 7.8.1 to 8.4, any documentations would be highly appreciated.

Upgrading from 7 to 8.x should be pretty straightforward, but make sure you meet the platform requirements (Database, OS,...) for Jira 8 & check for incompatible addons.
