UpgradeTask_Build633 MS SQL 2008 deadlock

I'm trying to upgrade from JIRA v3.13.2 to v4.4.4. I only have 2 customized files which are jira-application.properties(For JIRA Home directory) and seraph-config.xml (for CROWD integration). I included/added files osuser.xml and crowd.properties.
I experienced it during the initial dry run of the migration process and I added the validation-query node in dbconfig.xml and I successfully migrated the data twice. but now I encounter it again and it seems that validation-query was not the solution.
I looked at the sql log via sql profiler and seems that the deadlock was related to updating the customfieldvalue table in upgradetask_build633.
Can you please suggest or help to resolved this issue?

Environment : Windows Server 2003, Tomcat 6.0.35, MS SQL Server 2008 ,JAVA 6 Update 30, JTDS 1.2.4 and JIRA WAR 4.4.4
