I upgraded our Jira Software to 8.9. I started with upgrading to the latest 7.X release. Then I upgraded to 8.0. After upgrading to 8.0 everything was working like it should. I upgraded to 8.9 from there and now I get an error stating ERR_SSL_KEY_USAGE_INCOMPATIBLE. Is there a way to fix this issue?
Hi Chris,
at very first sight this sounds like there is an issue with your SSL certificate and/or the configuration of your endpoint terminating SSL connections (in many cases a reverse proxy).
As you state it happened after upgrade it looks like it is related to the upgrade - no question. But, nevertheless, I'd recommend you to double check the exact part in the system which handles your SSL connection what the log file tells. Maybe it is just a coincidence to the upgrade.
